Yes they are worth hanging onto. Not for the possibility of later use, but because they are useful now. What you do is you put all the items in your inventory you want to keep to the very back of the inventory, then stick the quest item in the slot just before them. Now because the items are unsellable when you go through selling things to the merchant and you hit this item, since you can't sell it, you won't accidentally sell anything you don't want to.

Yes, you could use a mini-pet for this, but I like having them in the main part for easy access. Also be careful if there is a use for the item, as you might have problems after its use removes it from your inventory. Currently I'm using Jade Wind orbs, simply because I prefer their icon.

Or you could just uncheck that part of your inventory. Put things you don't want to sell in one of the bags or whatever, and when you go to the merchant, just uncheck that bag. Those items won't even show up any longer when you go to the Merchant. Won't have to worry about making the mistake of selling something good.

I use a holiday headgear on each of my characters for this. Pretty much the same concept, although you if care to use masks, clearing out the quest items will free up space.

Yes, that would work if I had exactly filled a bag or two. But since I've only got one bag part filled, I have items I pickup going into it sometimes. This means that I either have to check the bag, or move the items out of it, in order to sell them to the merchant.

So my options are:
1 - Use an unsellable item to act as a block
2 - Check the bag every time I get something in it that needs selling, then risk accidentally selling something.
3 - After selling the stuff to the merchant the first time, manually move the items to the parts of my inventory that the agent can view, then selling them.

Option 1 doesn't give me much hassle beyond setting up. Option 2 has the risk of accidentally selling stuff and option 3 just adds hassle.

So unless we get the option to block specific slots/items from being sold, I'll stick with Jade Wind Orbs

  • Tapestry Shroud or Red Cape
  • Gwen's Broken Flute
Any others? Maybe I should buy the pre-order for the extra mule just to house this stuff.
Nah....you should just give them away. I'll be glad to take them off your hands.

How do you get more then one tapestry shred per character? I always thought she only gave you one.

My favorite item is the Blessed Cowbell. I try to carry one anytime I do a random pug group.

Then in the heat of battle when killing a mod or two, I drop it quickly on the ground and exclaim "Wow! What a strange drop!"

Of course, it says I dropped it but it is still good for a laugh or two :P

WE NEED MORE COWBELL!!!
